Genuine replica Deck Prism from the Charles W Morgan sailing vessel, which is berthed at Mystic Seaport. During a major restoration, 1977-1984, it was discovered that several of the original desk prisms on the deck of the ship, had been cracked and damaged. Molds were taken from the original 19th century deck prisms and hand-cast replicas were produced to replace the original ones. Our deck prisms from Mystic Seaport are still hand-cast here in the U.S.A. All of them come in decorative gift packaging. Prisms make a nice gift for awards, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, an all around gift idea.

Measuring approximately 4 inches (10cm) in height, adding a touch of whimsy to your home or office decor, 6 sided pyramid shape, solid glass.

Sometimes pouring the liquid glass into the mold, small bubbles small specks may appear. This is normal and is the same method used in pouring the liquid glass into molds in the 1800's.
